Public Overlay Editor
The Public Overlay Editor builds persistent OBS overlays. Unlike alerts, these overlays stay visible as long as they are active and the browser source loads the public overlay URL.
What the Editor Is For

Alerts stay in the Alert Editor. The Overlay Editor is for persistent areas.
Overview
You can find the overlay overview in Studio under Overlays.

| Active switch | Controls whether the public overlay URL shows content. When disabled, the OBS source stays empty. |

Editor Layout

Components

| HTML | Custom HTML/CSS block. HTML is sanitized. |
| Media | Image or other public media source. |
| Goal | Goal bar with title, value display, and progress. |
| Latest Tippers | Prepared list of latest supporters. The count is controlled by the component. |
| Marquee | Text or token content as a simple marquee animation. |
Current behavior: creator, goal, latest-tipper, and top-tipper values are filled automatically from your Tip data when saving. Stream message values remain empty until a stream source is connected.
Goal Display
The Goal component can show the main goal or a selected goal.

| Name position | Above, inside the bar, or hidden. |
| Value position | Above, inside the bar, or below. |

Public URL
The public URL is meant for OBS and must be copied completely.
https://your-domain.example/overlay/widget/<secret>If an overlay is disabled or has not been saved yet, the public URL intentionally stays empty. This prevents visible error pages in OBS.
Saving and Publishing
Currently, saving does both:

| Save draft | Your editable version is saved. |
| Prepare output | KALYIX creates the final OBS view from it. |
| Update public URL | The saved version is served through your public overlay URL. |
The public overlay URL is independent from your public Tip page.
Tokens
The Overlay Editor can use normal Tip tokens and overlay-specific list tokens. The full list is available under Tokens.
