Icon management combines server-side standard icons and your own custom icons. You can then select these icons for Creator Links and matching page elements.

Server Icons and Custom Icons

The icon library consists of two icon types.

TypeMeaning
Server-side iconsStandard icons provided by KALYIX. They come from Lucide or Bootstrap and cannot be deleted.
Custom iconsIcons you add yourself. These icons are marked in the grid and have an X in the top right for deletion.

Server-side icons are available immediately. Custom icons are stored per Tip profile and are then available in icon selection.

Search and Source

FieldMeaning
SearchSearches by icon name, key, or source. Examples: youtube, wallet, bootstrap, custom.
SourceNarrows the list to All, Lucide, Bootstrap, or Custom.
Plus buttonOpens Add icon.

Add Icon

Use the plus button to open the Add icon form.

FieldMeaning
SourceChooses whether you want to add a Lucide icon, a Bootstrap icon, or a custom SVG icon.
KeyTechnical key for your icon. KALYIX normalizes the key to lowercase and allows letters, numbers, _, and -.
NameVisible name of the icon in the library.
Icon nameOnly for Lucide or Bootstrap. Enter the icon name from the respective library.
SVG HTMLOnly for custom SVG. Paste the complete <svg ...>...</svg> markup.

Lucide Icons

Lucide icons are available at lucide.dev/icons.

For Lucide, enter the displayed icon name. The name can use the kebab-case format from the Lucide site, for example play-circle, wallet, sparkles, or radio.

KALYIX normalizes the name and tries to load the matching Lucide icon from it.

Bootstrap Icons

Bootstrap icons are available at icons.getbootstrap.com.

For Bootstrap, enter Bs plus the displayed name from the Bootstrap site.

Examples:

Bootstrap IconEntry in KALYIX
DiscordBsDiscord
YoutubeBsYoutube
TwitchBsTwitch
InstagramBsInstagram
RedditBsReddit

The Bs prefix is important. It makes clear that the icon comes from Bootstrap Icons.

Custom SVG Icons

For Custom SVG, paste the complete SVG markup, not a URL to a file.

Correct:

<svg viewBox="0 0 24 24" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg">
  <path d="M12 2L2 22h20L12 2z" />
</svg>

Not allowed:

https://example.com/icon.svg
data:image/svg+xml;base64,...

SVG Security

Custom SVGs are cleaned and checked before they are saved.

CheckMeaning
No external URLshttps:, data:, blob:, and file: are not allowed.
No scriptscript tags and event attributes such as onclick are removed or blocked.
No embedded filesimage, use, iframe, object, embed, and similar tags are not allowed.
No dangerous stylesstyle, filter, mask, clip-path, url(...), @import, and similar content are blocked.
Visible shapesThe SVG must contain visible elements such as path, circle, rect, line, polygon, or similar shapes.
ViewBox requiredThe SVG must have a viewBox so it scales cleanly.
Size limitThe SVG counts against the displayed SVG import limit.
Node limitVery complex SVGs with too many nodes are rejected.

This lets custom SVGs be used as icons without carrying script or external loading paths into the Tip page.

Deleting

Only custom icons can be deleted. You can recognize them by the X in the top right of the icon card.

Server-side Lucide and Bootstrap icons do not have an X because they are part of the fixed icon library.

After saving, your custom icon appears in icon selection for Creator Links. There you can assign it to a link and set an icon color.
