OBS Setup
OBS uses alert URLs and public overlay URLs as browser sources.
Find Overlay URL
The alert URL is in the alert area. Public overlay URLs are in the overlay overview. Both must be copied in full with the domain, not only as an /overlay/... path.
Create Browser Source
- Open OBS.
- Select the scene.
- Add a source.
- Select
Browser. - Paste the alert URL or public overlay URL.
- Set width and height to match the stream canvas, for example
1920x1080. - Save the source.
- For alerts, trigger
Test Sendin the Alert Editor. For public overlays, activate and save the overlay.
Expected Behavior
- Without an alert, the alert page stays empty.
- When triggered, exactly the saved template is shown.
- After the template duration, the alert disappears again.
- The next queue entry can then be played.
- An active public overlay stays visible as long as saved content exists.
- A disabled public overlay intentionally stays empty.
If Nothing Is Displayed
- Check the full overlay URL.
- Reload the browser source.
- For alerts, check the queue in the Alert Editor.
- For alerts, trigger
Test Sendagain. - For public overlays, check whether the overlay is active and saved.
- Check whether the correct template is selected in the rule.
